Our anti-racism commitment.

The Problem Solving Institute is committed to:

  • Acknowledging that racism is a societal and global problem that requires continuous education and conversation.

  • Acknowledging that racism is embedded into our organizational structures, policies, and systems and we must audit these structures utilizing an anti-racist lens.

  • Seeking out, listening and believing our Black, Brown, Indigenous and POC partners, consultants, clients and participants to understand their experiences.

  • Communicating more, not less.  We believe that shame is a tool of oppression and is not an effective social justice tool.

  • Being about it.  We believe that love, grace, accountability, courage, vulnerability, empathy, shame resilience, and the power of our voice can change the world. That’s what we are committed to teaching, training, and practicing.

  • Investing resources to develop, organize, and support community or organizational initiatives that foster anti-racism.

We recognize that confronting and combating racism is life-long work. As a leadership development organization, we must be vigilant in our learning, listening, and action to advance change. We pledge to measure our progress as we push against racism, discrimination, and other forms of prejudice and injustice with the goal of making our community and workplaces more inclusive, welcoming, safer and an environment where every member of our community, regardless of race or ethnicity can thrive.
